This is just a 5 minute walk away. They serve breakfast, lunches and evening meals. Fabulous bar also with great selection of gins and cocktails. Often have live music bands during the week. Very popular with local residents. Recommend you book a table for evening meal or Sunday roast as it gets very busy.

Rated as one of the best fish and chip shops in North Devon and extremely popular with locals and visitors. During the summer months this place is rammed. You can pre book a table in the restaurant so don't be caught out, otherwise you have to queue for a while but its well worth the wait. The place is run by a local family (The Squires) and they are very professional. If you don't fancy a sit down meal, the takeaway next door is just as fabulous. You can use their click and collect service to save queuing. You cannot beat eating fish & chips on the beach watching the sunset

Fabulous thatched pub on the outskirts of the village - approx. 15-20 mins walk from us. They offer great gastro pub food and one of the best carveries in the area. You will definitely need to book as it is very popular all year round.

Places to visit
There are some amazing places to visit around North Devon. We have some of the best beaches in the country and a fabulous rugged coastline to explore. The list of places to visit is endless but here are a few favourites.
One of the most popular and largest beaches in the area. Only a few minutes drive from The Chiggypig. Great for everyone and so big that it never feels overcrowded. Great for surfing, sunbathing, walking and watching the sunset.

One of my absolutely favourite walks. This is approx. 40 mins drive from us but worth the visit. A great woodland walk that leads to a open pebble beach. There is a fantastic pub there that serves great food so you can treat yourself after the walk back to a lovely meal.

Another fantastic walk from Lynmouth along the woodlands following the river to the café at the end of the walk. This is really pleasant but not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. From this walk you can then go in to Lynmouth to explore this seaside village where they are some quaint shops and the famous cliff railway up to Lynton.

Another great beach just round the peninsula from Saunton. Smaller and for the more confident surfer - this is a great place to hang out. The village of Croyde has shops, cafes and pubs to explore. very popular with visitors and surfers. Hosts the Goldcoast Oceanfest in June which is 3 day music festival and very popular. Very busy village in the summer months.
