Pubs open all year with more limited menus in Winter. Fresh seafood may be unavailable in stormy weather at any time of year. Cafes are mostly seasonal.

JANS CAKES in Dunvegan. Excellent, quality organic; so quite pricey.
OLDEST BAKERY ON SKYE. Dunvegan. Good value, large portions, down to earth food. Bread, cakes, pies, bacon rolls, *Cooked Breakfasts. Filled rolls for picnics. It’s a bit tired looking, but good value. Eat in or take away.

GRESHORNISH HOTEL near Edinbane. Afternoon Tea . *Booking essential. Combine with walks at Greshornish. Turn towards Portree at Fairy Bridge. You will see the signs on the left in a couple of miles, before you reach Edinbane.

Pub on the shore, just a short, scenic walk from the apartment. Recently acquired by celebrity chef Paul Rankin. The food is excellent. Booking advised for meals, but the bar snacks are really good too.

Great Pub and restaurant, a short drive away. Very friendly. Live music on Sunday afternoon . . good place to go if it is bad weather!
