Explore White Rock

White Rock’s community offers something for everyone! White rock beach is divided into “East beach” and “West beach”, separated by a rise in the shoreline that locals call the hump. There is a 2194 meter (7200 feet) promenade that runs almost the entire length of the beach, and provides lots of ways to get to the beach and attractions. Take your time and stroll from one end to the other making sure to stop and check out grand chief Bernard Charles memorial Plaza which highlights the communities strong ties to the Semiahmoo First Nation, as well as the “white rock”, for which the community is named! It is located along West beach by the pier. The rock maintains its pristine white color with help from the staff from the city of white rock and is a favorite spot for photographs! Standing more than 4 meters high and reportly weighs in at 486 tons, the rock is likely a glacial deposit left behind when glaciers receded thousands of years ago.
