Food & Drink
Rickerby Retreat is another top end place for food, with a great sun-deck that is part of the restaurant. On a warm sunny day the retractable roof makes for an outdoor feeling in a very nice restaurant.

Another play park beside a small pond, some nice nature.
A decently sized park close to the center of Carlisle. Roughly 1.5miles round the edge, the River Eden runs through it. Don't worry about the cows, they are human friendly!!

Childcare
If you're in Carlisle during the school holidays, there is a very good Holiday Club at Stone Eden Nursery School, it is open from 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Each day involves an activity off-site. The nursery is located 2miles from my house.
