Breckenridge is a beautiful town close to many activities for winter and summer visitors. Approx 1.5 hours from DIA makes this a great destination. Town is casual and easy to get around, lots of shopping and dining options.
Definitely check out Frisco (10 min away) walk down Main Street, take a nice walk around Lake Dillon, check out the dam, rent bikes to ride from Breckenridge to Frisco (worth it) for lunch, rent paddle boards or kayaks on Lake Dillion or go for a picnic.
Skateboard park is near by, bike rentals, guided fly fishing trips, white water rafting trips, horse back riding, hike until your hearts content.
Winter is well know in Breckenridge - it's a magical time. Of course skiing, snowmobiling, winter ice fishing, winter fly fishing nordic center to cross-country ski or snow shoeing, sledding at Carter park.
Drive for the day to Vail (35 min) or Beaver Creek (40 min). Lots to explore and see.
