These are really close enough to walk...
It's a grassy park along the bayou in the city! Home to the Bayou Bugaloo music art festival. Adorned with beautiful homes and a Creole plantation too. Have a picnic. Rent a canoe or SUP. And add a carved totem entire tree celebrating our Indians, music, and wildlife (animals). Day fun and sunsets...

Bike or walk under two miles to the French Quarter... it's a paved version of the Bayou Saint John. In fact, long ago it was the same bayou - they filled it. From the studio you can go to N. Broad St. and take a right walk to the 'hill' by pumping station - that's it.

Now! with additional Broadside Theater next door - live music and outside theater. The traditional movie theater and bar here my favorite movie places with my second being the Prytania Theater uptown. And an easy walk.

It's got a 'bacon' sculpture in the front fountain? - dunno about that and gotta say I'm more into my bacon being on a plate. But the museum has something for everyone and in city park.
