Walk or jog along the paved surface of the levee and take in all of the views: Historic Algiers Point, the Algiers dry docks, the New Orleans riverfront & skyline, and passing cargo & cruise ships!
Please note that the Mississippi River Trail runs the length of the levee and that there is no specific access point. Google Maps is determined to convince us that it's only accessed in Gretna :-)
