Not enough people seem to know about this place - it's the largest Hindu temple outside of India and is beautiful to look at outside and in. Free to look around, there is also a museum inside.

Parks & Nature
Kew Gardens is stunning and just two stops away on the overground from South Acton. I go there at least once a month and have done for the last ten years. There's always something new to find or a different exhibition they put on. Highlights are the Hive (use the wooden sticks to hear through vibrations), the treetop walkway and, for children, the badger sett. If you're staying here in November to January then Christmas at Kew is a stunning display of lights, music and a Christmas funfair.

Gunnersbury Park is near the end of a huge overhaul. They've renovated all the old buildings and turned one of them into a museum. Nice cafe, two large ponds, wooded areas and a walled garden. There are also huge sports fields and a sports centre being built. Great for walks, dog walking, cycling or sports.
