Myakka River State Park
Nokomis Beach offers deep sea fishing, charter boats, kayak and jet ski rentals. Walk or ride your bike to Pop's Sunset Grill -it's a great place to watch the dolphins, have a drink, and eat lunch or dinner. At the south end of Casey Key, a bike ride away, is Nokomis Beach Park. The Nokomis Beach Plaza was designed and built in the 1950's by Jack West, of the renowned Sarasota School of Architecture, and renovated in 2008.
Amenities include: beach, swimming, boardwalk, canoe/kayak launch, boat ramp and dock on bayside, historic Nokomis Beach Plaza, picnic shelters, playground, volleyball, beachside restrooms, bayside portable restrooms and plenty of parking. This is great place to watch the boats go in and out of the Venice Jetty.
