Walk two blocks away and there you are at the Infamous Eastern State Pen. The 1st in the nation and on the Historic registry list. If you let me know early enough I may be able to score you 2 free tickets:)

A MUST if you visit Philadelphia. It is humbling to be in the presence of the infancy of our country and what was at stake.
Visit the Liberty Bell and the Constitution Center across the street. You can even have brunch with Ben Franklin. Oh and the Betsy Ross house is a few minute walk away.

A must in Fairmount. Run up the iconic steps where Rocky stars. Take a picture with the famous statue. Don't miss the Art Museum itself. A breathtaking Gem of of true Iconic Artistry.

I bring my 2 dogs t o the Trails every Sunday for the past 9 years. The hiking is great and good exercise. Dogs love to go off leash and go swimming at "Dog Beach" . Mountain bikers, hikers, kids, families are all there. Amazing colors in the fall.

Wissahickon Bike TrailI bring my 2 dogs t o the Trails every Sunday for the past 9 years. The hiking is great and good exercise. Dogs love to go off leash and go swimming at "Dog Beach" . Mountain bikers, hikers, kids, families are all there. Amazing colors in the fall.

Its about 5 blocks down hill to walk there. Can take the bus back for $2.25. Has parking in case you drive and if you have an electric car you can charge while shopping. Also have 3 restaurants and a bar on premises.

Then go another 10 blocks to Trader Joes on Market Street. They have parking but always a line into lot. Never go on a Sunday. Line can wrap inside store 2-3 times.
Quality food and produce and great prices. Worth a go.

There are Indigo "Bike Sharing" tracks all over the city. Ones closest to the house are on Farimount and 23rd and 20th streets. $4.00 each half an hour.
