The best bakery in town. There are two locations, Tartine Manufactory is next to Heath Ceramics, but my personal favorite is the smaller more casual spot at Guerrero and 18th. Great French sandwiches and bread, also an amazing coconut cream tart and everything chocolate is good too!

My favorite old movie theater in the city... Lots and lots of charm and they have great festivals here! And pay tribute to great old directors like Fassbinder, Antonioni and Hitchcock! The film noir festival, hosted by Eddie Muller, is in January and the Berlin and Beyond film festival arrives soon after. The architecture is beautiful...there is a turkish tent style ceiling and art deco paintings. Don't miss taking a look at this historic gem!
