Parks & Nature
Just round the corner from the house. Lovely Victorian Park.
King George V Memorial Garden of Rememberance with a central pool and fountain.
Circular walk containing many special trees, such as: Purple Sycamore, Snake bark Maple, golden Elms, Caucasion Maple and a line of Baumannii Horse Chestnuts.
There's a Garden for the Blind with plants to invigorate the senses.
We walk through here on the way to The Holburne Museum, a Victorian collection of ornate silver and Old Masters in a Georgian building with modern extension. Sounds boring but it is pretty amazing and has a great cafe in the back. their gift shop is also excellent.

One of our favourites and almost a secret...
Ten minutes stroll from the house, The Bathwick Boatman restaurant is above an historic boating station, overlooking the River Avon. Very picturesque.
Go for lunch then mess about on the river.
