Be Safe - Pack the 10 Essentials
Many rescues in the Adirondacks are preventable, and often due to hikers not being prepared. Be sure to bring a paper map, two headlamps, rain coat, insulating layer, compass, adequate hiking boots, plenty of food, water, fire starting supplies, and a first-aid kit. Always tell someone your hiking plan, and when to expect you.
