A floating restaurant on a dock on the Columbia river. More pub-style food than Salty's which is just up the road. Open air. Brilliant on nice days, maybe not a great choice when the weather isn't at it's best. It's a bit out of the way, so it's not touristy. Not as intimate or quiet (it's close to the airport) as The Island Cafe, but it's far easier to get seated.

Breathtaking year round. Majestic views and countless hiking trails (check online, some are still recovering from the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire). Even if the weather doesn't encourage a hike, the views from the car are still fantastic - we recommend a loop using both the Washington (Hwy 14) and Oregon (Hwy 84) sides of the river, use either Hood River or The Bridge of the Gods as a turnaround.
