Named after its wannabe famous owner, I let you check their Instagram, this unassuming coffee shop serves a great breakfast or lunch with a lovely selection of homemade Cakes. Also they use one of my favourites sourdough bread from Freedom bakery, I think you can purchase it there, and the story behind it is noteworthy just like there bread.

stunning Italian restaurant, with Italian sourced products, Eusebi only opened recently but quickly raised to the top of the food scene in Glasgow. I wouldn't know what dish to recommend as they all are delicious. If you are on the go, it is worth noting they have a deli and offer great Italian classics to take away and warm up at home. (the lasagne is a must try).
Nice tip to reach there, you can walk along the Kelvin river from the bridge on Belmont street. 10 min walk max.

Our local bakery, always a little busy but that is only because it is finding to be too successful. They have great croissants for breakfast and freshly made sandwiches. Be aware they sell out fast, and all their bread is gone after 4 ish. Coffee is good too.

The Chip on Ashton Lane, serving top quality gastro Pub food, you will always find a nice atmosphere at the weekend. Don't be surprised if the person next to you engages the conversation, people are friendly there and they might have had more pints than you. Sitting at the very top, a secluded terrace great to enjoy a Glass of wine under the heat lamps, my favourite terrace on the occasional sunny days.

Could be Michelin star decorated, but Glasgow seems to refuse to enter the guide ;) The food is excellent and it would be the perfect place for a special occasion or to indulge yourself with divine Scottish cuisine. Not cheap but still good value for money. You most likely need to book in advance.

Mother India Cafe is the place to go for a curry in Glasgow, they serve tapas size dishes, ideal for sharing. Most Glaswegians would agree on that even if they can't agree on football. It is situated right by the Kelvingrove Museum and marks the start of the Finnieston area where you will find the newest and hippest establishments. So yes, it is a good spot to start the evening then wander down Argyle street to discover more.

Drinks & Nightlife
Drink pints of crafted beers, right by the River. Great selection of beers and hiving when the sun is out for after work drinks. Inn Deep is a great venue, it used to be a train station, indeed you can see where the old rail tracks and tunnels where.

Oran Mor is an iconic place of the West End. Not only because the Pub lives within an old converted church, but also for the sound of laughter and music it beholds. You will find there a fantastic selection of Whiskeys, my advice just go for the whiskey of the month and drink some Crabbies on the side :). You can listen to live music there, on selected nights. It also features a small theatre with "a Play a Pie a Pint" event every week. Another strong point, most bars in Glasgow will close by 1 AM, Oran Mor has an extended license and closes at 3 AM.

Old flee market, emblematic and social hang out for Glaswegians, to be experienced by all. The barras remains a little time capsule where you can catch a glimpse of what used to be Glasgow in the post-industrial era. The market has seen a regeneration program transforming the neighbourhood into a more Campden like with venues like the Baad, however it still resemble the more unsophisticated and original purpose of the city's market.
