Great selection of beers. Bartenders who know their stuff. Also? Don;t miss the $5 cheeseburger. It's nothing special, but it's a crowd favorite.

The food at this French-inspired restaurant is great, and it makes an excellent date night spot, but the bar might be even better. It's just a few seats, but their house cocktails are fantastic. No better place in the neighborhood for a cocktail, truly.

Food Scene
Cozy little British pie shop offering savory pies and pastries and a few sweets, too. The owner, Sam, is about the nicest person you'll ever meet and from the time he opened Stargazy in late 2015 it was an instant neighborhood favorite. The classic meat pies are great, but he always offers at least one vegetarian option, too.

Modern Jewish bake shop. The babka is great, the cookies are great, everything is great. Be forewarned, like the owner, Tova, the shop is tiny! Great spot to grab a coffee and a pastry en route to the dog park, but not the place to go if you need a space for a group, or you plan to linger with your laptop.

Malaysian food! Chow down on skewers of satay and coconut milk rice nasi lemak, and don't miss their coffee and tea drinks. Also, pack a bottle or two because it's BYOB! (Brunch is good, too!)

Do you need takeout wings or pizza? Or a quick slice for a mid afternoon snack? This is the only place in the neighborhood to go. Don't waste your money at Isabella's. Plus, if you're in the mood to sit in the dining room, the owner and some of the service staff occasionally perform opera live.

A Jewish guy making his take on dim sum classics. Fantastic casual spot. Great place for families. Definitely order the cucumber salad and the lamb dumplings. And save room for their soft serve ice cream. No matter what flavor - peanut butter, black sesame, coconut - get it!

Crazy and wonderful, this huge installation by mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar is a must see for lovers of street, ceramic, and installation art. Plus, once you are familiar with Zagar's style you'll start to notice his mosaic murals all over town. Be forewarned - most of the space is out of doors (it's really a garden) so this isn't activity for rainy/snowy/or very hot days.

Owned by brothers and Adam and Andrew, this is the place to go if you're looking for edible souvenirs. They make and sell their own line of jams, preserves, and nut butters, and they offer a great selection of other locally made and produced goods, too. Prices can be steep, but sometimes it's worth it for a pint of locally made ice cream.
