If you have time for a quick fun boat ride, walk onto the local county ferry to Guemes island. The ferry terminal is a 10 minute walk from the loft, the ferry takes about 15 minutes and the General Store is just on the other side of the channel. The store has a small bar and restaurant, as well as an ice cream shop.
