Pourhouse
2231 Washington StGood beer selection of fantastic local beers. Good environment.
Probably the best food in town, in our opinion. On Friday nights there is live music, but otherwise it's just a great pub/restaurant to enjoy. There's an outside patio on the water to watch the ferries coming and going on. They also have a pool table and board games if you just want to kick back a bit.

It's an outdoor hot dog place which has a pretty large variety of types of dogs to get. They even have a gluten free bun which doesn't taste like the typical GF bread. It's an outdoor place though, so we recommend it on those beautiful warm sunny days. It's also kitty corner from a park where kids can play either on the toys, in the grass, or on the beach. Perfect for a budget conscious family.

Not a great ambiance, but we recommend this place because in our opinion it has the best Thai food (of 3 places) in town. Our little secret is to order one meal, but say "full order, no rice, no salad" and then order one "bacon fried rice". That will get you more food than you can eat for about $20. Our family of 4 (2 small boys) doesn't eat it all in one sitting, and the bacon rice is amazing. Unfortunately they won't sell the bacon rice in anything smaller than a full order, but trust us, it's worth getting. If it's just for two of you, take it and go around the corner to the Pourhouse (no kids unfortunately), who lets you in with food. Go out back if it's sunny and eat, drink, and play bocce ball while enjoying the views of the Puget Sound.
