My home is 1/4 above the trail entrance at Hardscrabble and HWY 30. You can walk down and find the entrance on the other side of HWY 30. Wonderful for a relaxing stroll, bike ride, ski or snow mobile ride! The Catskill Scenic Trail is an old rail bed preserved as a beautiful and well-maintained trail for residents and guests. Full of rolling mountain vistas, and wonderful way to spend the day! You can rent bikes at the Roxbury General Store. Call 607-326-6118.

One of my favorite farmstands and only a couple miles of a scenic drive along Burroughs Memorial Road. Frozen meats, dairy products, eggs, seasonal veggies, and homemade pot pies. Cash only and on the honor system.

Plattekill is not only a ski mountain, but also offers hikes and summer events. Their “Music on the Mountain” Concert Series, an annual event, offers free concerts the first Saturday of every month June through September. This year will also mark the 7th annual Plattepalooza Family Fall Festival over the Columbus Day holiday on Saturday, October 8th with pumpkin and face painting, s’more roasting, magician, local vendors, scenic skyrides, fall fare, live music plus much more.
