Such yummy yummy korean food. Walk down the alley in East Atlanta Village until you get to a random door with a small sign above it labeled Gaja. Go in and order chicken thighs and scallion pancake. You will be so glad you did. (Not open for lunch).

Best donuts in Atlanta. If you like chocolate order the Triple Chocolate Cake. The bacon salted carmel is also a big hit. Often a line, but totally worth it. There's a little play kitchen your kid can play at while you wait in line. Second location in Decatur.

Small breakfast every day, larger brunch menu on the weekends. I order the Pork Belly (with hollandaise and home potatoes). So much flavor and goodness in your mouth. It's a relaxed spot in the Cabbagetown neighborhood. They also have a fun dinner menu and happy hour.

Long standing Atlanta classic, this spot serves crispy fried chicken and other southern staples. And like any classic southern restaurant you pick a protein, two veggie sides and some cornbread. If you're looking for a local southern food experience this is it.

Best bagels in Atlanta, in East Atlanta Village. Get there before they sell out! Try the olive oil and sea salt with cream cheese, lox and capers. It is unbelievably delicious. (To note: there are a couple of patio tables and chairs, but not really a sit down and have a leisurely brunch.)

Shopping
Originally the Sears Roebuck and Co. Warehouse. It has since been renovated. Now it houses offices, condos, so many tasty restaurants, shops and it's right off the Beltline. Great place to park and walk, shop, and eat. Check out the Skyline Park recommendation for fun on the rooftop of Ponce City Market

The Beltline can be picked up at many different points and is one of the highlights of Atlanta right now. Rent a bike, take a stroll or stop for a drink along the way. The Beltline is in progress and constantly developing. An old railroad line used to run the perimeter of Atlanta. Now it's being transformed into one large trail (concrete) connecting parks, neighborhoods and many restaurants. One of my favorite parts of Atlanta.
