Our favourite Aussie-influenced cafe (i.e. the best in the world!) - delicious breakfast staples like smashed avocado on sourdough, cold pressed juices, espresso coffee & craft beers. Feels like a little slice of Bondi :-)

7 Soi Pridi Banomyong 37Delicious Vietnamese restaurant
Delicious Thai food in a sleek space. The restaurant is in beautiful heritiage home that has been redesigned into a modern restaurant with gardens. We had our wedding reception here.
Also, you can call the restaurant and ask them to pick you up in their tuk-tuk from the entrance of Soi 34 on the main road for a little fun (just give the driver a 40-50B tip)

Gedhawa is a small Lanna-style restaurant hidden away on the quiet, narrow Sukhumvit Soi 35 near the Emquartier shopping mall. The food is Thai with an emphasis on Northern dishes. I highly recommend getting a few dishes to share, including the the Khao-Soy, a northern curry style noodle soup. The prices are very reasonable and the food is made with love.

Getting Around
Closest BTS stop, along the Sukhumvit Line.
Bangkok traffic can make getting around in the city a challenging and time consuming task. The BTS Sky Train, an elevated electric train often proves to be the quickest way to get around. The service is cheap, reliable, frequent and the cars are clean & cool. Two lines serve the city, the Sukhumvit line and the Silom line with an interchange at Siam station.
There is a also a change to the MRT subway system at Asok station (one stop from Phrom Pong, heading towards Mo Chit.
In comparison to other mass transit systems in the world (London tube, NY subways, Tokyo metro etc), the Bangkok system is relatively simple and easy to use.
