Everything Else
There's great people-watching from the deck of this giant, old hotel. You can feel very glamorous for the price of an iced tea and spend an afternoon watching wedding photo shoots, wealthy guests, and the ocean lapping at the Chatham bars (sandbars).
If you are feeling fancy, you can treat yourself by going to dinner here and watch the sunset through the wall of windows in the dining room. Or you can pay an arm and a leg for a spa treatment.

Fresh and briny the seafood you will find at this market is just off the boat and ready to eat. There is a walk-up counter at this fish market where you can get fresh raw and cooked shellfish and other delights from the sea. For a real treat get some boiled, shelled lobster meat by the pound and sit at the end of the pier. You can picnic like a mermaid, while chatting with the friendly seals that are likely to greet you, especially if you toss them a chunk of your lobster!

One of the last surviving drive-in theaters in the country, the Wellfleet Drive-In has that old-timey feel. Double features: monster movies and action flicks, greasy burgers and salty french fries. You can sit in your car or bring some lawn chairs and watch a movie or two in the balmy summer night. It doesn’t get much better than this.

With its stunning 6,400-square-foot ceiling mural designed by Rockwell Kent in the 1930s, this art house theater is a local treasure. The talk of the town recently has been the new seats. The consensus is that they are very comfortable. Everything else in this theater is delightfully old including the films on Throwback Thursdays.
Take in a movie, have some pop and popcorn, and afterward stroll the quaint Dennis Village, eating an ice cream cone while looking at the stars. If you are feeling fancier than popcorn, you can put on your heals and straighten your tie and go out for dinner at Encore (fine dining bar and bistro) before or after the film.
