Quirky cottage in pretty Midwales market town

The brick front is just a facade - behind is a timber-framed cottage, built with massive beams stolen from the old castle. The interior is practically unchanged since the mid-sixteenth century and has been lovingly restored using traditional methods and materials. It oozes history and character (wood burning stoves for the winter and an outside loo in the yard) but is equipped with many modern facilities too. The town is a delight and the location superb for walking, cycling, watersports, etc

It is in a quiet location off the main street in the town and has a very large walled garden which our guests are welcome to share.
