The Whale House is situated on the premises of Mdumbi Backpackers which makes it a lovely private option with access to everything the backpackers has to offer. Guests have access to Mdumbi beach which is a 3 minute walk down the hill. Guests have access to activities offered by the backpackers such as massages, cultural tours, cave hikes and kayaks on the beautiful mdumbi river as well as a restaurant and coffee shop on site. The house is the perfect spot for relaxing with your family/friends.

Mbashe River Heights is self catering accommodation situated just off the N2 at Mbashe River Bridge 30km from Idutywa and 55km from Mthata, in in a rural village called Mzinya close to Qunu(Mandelas home and burial place) and Mvezo(Mandelas birth place). The Mbashe river is ideal for fishing small mouth yellow fish, carp, palling and barbell. Beautiful area for motorbikes and mountain bikes. Birdlife great including vulture breeding ground, secretary birds, fish eagles, hawks. Great for reps.

Sleepy Hollow is situated on the Wild Coast in a local Village called Mngcibe, 1.5km north of Mdumbi river. What started as just a rondavel on it's own, has been developed with a separate bathroom and a 3 double bedroom unit with a decking. This is a family built and run holiday home that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do. It's quiet and set away from the stresses of normal life, so be prepared to switch off and relax on the decking with a beautiful view of our Wild Coast.

Book out all three rondavels, perfect for friends and family retreat. Situated on a hill with breathtaking views, you're a short walk from surf-friendly Mdumbi beach. Our communal kitchen and bathroom/ shower allows for easy sharing of the the spaces. The end of day braai can be enjoyed outside your own rondavel or all together on the square lawn to enjoy the sunset. Then it's time for stargazing from your skybench as the Milky Way slides past. You can walk to the beach!
