The Top Paddock

Welcome to the top paddock! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the north west coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the wood fired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, its a Tasmanian version of luxury camping.

We are only 15mins from Burnie where from Oct-Mar daily Penguin Tours are availabe. This is a free interactive tour with a guide and you get to observe Penguins in their natural habitat. Strawberry Farm and Anvers Chocolate Factory (yum) are close by.

The minimum charge $140 is for 1 guest. Additional guests will attract a charge of $45 per head, and bedrooms will be made available as needed. We only ever have 1 booking at a time, no sharing with other families or individuals. We live on site and are happy to help, your accommodation is segregated and totally private. NO parties, no smoking, please be respectful of neighbours. Fake tan & hair dye use PROHIBITED. Fully equipped kitchen, plus washing machine & dryer.

'Mistover' Farm Cottage & Galloway Stud

'Mistover' is a 32 hectare property with pasture, bushland, creeks, dams and plenty of space for your pets to run! It is home to Galloway cattle and long term resident Jonesy, the English Pointer, who loves visitors! The accommodation is a two storey, 2 bedroom, self-contained stone cottage with open fire place and private balcony. 'Mistover' is situated along the Murchison Highway, 20 kms from Burnie/Wynyard Airport and is on the doorstep of the Tarkine Wilderness!

Tariff includes breakfast provisions and a well equipped sideboard kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. A 10 min walk to the CBD, beachside restaurants and foreshore BBQ area. A 7 min drive to the hospital and university campus. Well located for daytrips in the region.
