Halfway between the Monterey Peninsula and Santa Cruz, the Dunes Colony is a precious secret awaiting discovery by those lucky enough to experience raw, unfiltered beauty on the sandy shores surrounding Monterey Bay. “Sea Bird” is a newly renovated, single-level condominium where our guests can live luxuriously while listening as the Pacific Ocean sighs eternally just outside, its grandeur framed by wall-length windows in the main living area.

A beautifully secluded area (40+ acres) surrounded by natural beauty with lovely views of Elkhorn Slough and the Pacific Ocean, away from the maddening crowd. Yet, accessible to Carmel / Pebble Beach / Santa Cruz. A variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, bicycling, kayaking, golfing and whale watching. A full breakfast is served daily. It should also be noted it is a gated property and the home is accessed through a dirt / gravel private country lane which is 0.75 mile from the gate.

This room is very good if you need to sleep days as it is dark on the north side House rules will be forwarded once you book and if you decide you cannot abide you have 24 hours to cancel for a full refund. There will be a $35 charge for unreturned keys PLEASE LMK IF YOU ARE BRINGING A PET, as I do not like to have a dog in both rooms of the house at the same time. The charge is $50/mo

The Ocean View is themed to showcase Monterey Bay inside and out. Wake up in the Beach, clean up in the Kelp, and enjoy dinner in the Deep. You will love the king size movable platform bed, the Hot Tub with an ocean view and the easy parking for several cars. Only a 10 minute drive to Cannery Row, and the Aquarium. The Beach, Golfing, Diving, Fishing, Hiking are a just a few minutes away as well.

The Hummingbird, Historic Landmark House

Not suitable for children/pets. ROOM LOCATED ON SECOND FLOOR AND HAS STEPS. Self checkin. We offer a light take away snack of coffee/tea, fruit, yogurt, nut bars to get your day started. Guest fridge, kettle, microwave available for use in the back porch. The main kitchen is closed to guests. We do live here so some noise around meal times to be expected. Animals live on property.
