The Chef’s Shed - a farm stay

Situated in "cool country" Trentham, the Chef’s Shed was originally built in 1860, and has been lovingly transformed into a cosy, spacious and unique place to stay. It has quirky living spaces, including a loft, and wide, stunning views over the land around, even from the private sauna which can be used for a modest fee. From here you can explore the region. We are surrounded by nature, and a few minutes from The Falls and historic Trentham with cafes, pubs, walking tracks and a lot of history.

Unwind at our lodge in beautiful St Andrews. Just an hour's drive from Melbourne, our peaceful property has everything to help you relax. We are perfectly placed for visiting the Yarra Valley wineries with the closest one a short walk from your front door. Visiting the iconic St Andrews market on Saturday is also a must. Nestled in a private corner of our family property, the lodge is completely independent. Your only visitors will be our resident kangaroos, wombats and beautiful native birds.

Named after the Gububurras (Kookaburras) that share the property with us, it's only ten minutes walk to the Mount Macedon village for coffee or a short drive to find wineries, village markets and forest walking trails. Alternatively in the cooler months you can curl up by the fire and read or enjoy the view from the terrace by the fire pit. The calming effect of Guruburra on our guests is almost immediately
