The fully-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and there is an exterior laundry with a washing machine and dryer. The property is surrounded by the historic Maori Pa.

Birch Hill Cottage is the original Head Shearer’s Cottage from c1900. It has been fully renovated & is a wonderful spot to come completely relax. We have planted 100's of trees and are working on establishing a garden paradise over the 11 years we have owned the property. We are continuously upgrading the cottages & land. The Cottage is perfect for a a couple, two couples, four-member family or a small group. It is a two bedroom unit that can sleep four people. One room is housing a queen size bed and the room next door holds two single beds. When you arrive you will walk up the garden entrance to the scenic private deck. When you enter the Cottage you'll see kitchen to the left followed by the bathroom suite and the living/eating area to your right.

RIVERBANK COTTAGE AWAITS YOU. Riverbank cottage was originally the lean-to off the main homestead. In 2002 we moved it across the garden rebuilt it and lived there happily while the homestead was renovated. The cottage faces northeast overlooking our vineyard towards the Richmond ranges. It is within a stones throw of the Wairau River.
