Waddle Selbstversorgung

The Waddle ist ein traditionelles Shetland Croft House, das renoviert wurde, um Gästen einen gemütlichen und komfortablen Aufenthalt zu bieten. In ruhiger, ruhiger, abgelegener Lage, etwas mehr als eine Meile vom nahe gelegenen Dorf Walls entfernt, versteckt unter dem Hügel mit Blick auf ein Meer, ist es ein perfekter Ort, um die Tierwelt, Landschaft, Ruhe und Freiheit des Shetlands zu genießen. Das Waddle befindet sich auf einem aktiven Croft. Wir haben etwa 250 Schafe mit Lämmern im Frühling, Silageballen im Sommer und Fütterung im Winter.

Direkt am Stadtrand von Brae, nur wenige Gehminuten vom örtlichen Supermarkt, Pubs, Restaurants, Fish and Chips und chinesischen Imbissen entfernt. Garage, Friseur, Schönheitssalon, Schwimmbad und Freizeitzentrum in der Nähe. Außerdem fährt der Bus Nr. 23 nach Lerwick/Toft direkt vor der Tür vorbei. Unser Sitzbereich im Freien ist perfekt zum Entspannen und Beobachten des Sonnenuntergangs nach einem aufregenden Tag voller Wandern und Sightseeing.

Scarpoe’s Kitchen, Herra, Yell, Shetland

Scarpoe's Kitchen ist ein altes „Kytja“-Haus auf der schönen Insel Yell in Shetland. Es wurde komplett restauriert und wird als hochwertige und einzigartige Unterkunft angeboten. Das ehemalige Crofthouse ist der perfekte Ort, um dem Alltag zu entkommen. Es ist leicht, sich in „da Herra“ zu verlieren, einem magischen Ort, an dem es viele alte Legenden von Riesen und Trollen gibt. Die Luft ist sauber und die Sommertage sind lang. Ein Gefühl von Alter, Ruhe und Ausdauer ist in diesem schönen Tal immer präsent.

The View - explore Shetland then relax in luxury

The perfect place for exploring the north of Shetland mainland and the outlying islands. This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. There are two entrances so your stay will remain private. The View is on a small estate

Cosy Log Cabin in Aith, Shetland

Relax and recharge with the family in the peaceful and picturesque village of Aith. This is our family holiday home, close to our family in the quiet and friendly village of Aith, Shetland. It is a great location as the village has a shop, Leisure Centre, Harbour and Marina, play park and is a 5 minute walk to the fantastic ‘Michael’s Wood’. This award winning woodland and trail was planted by family in memory of our cousin and so is a really special place for us which we hope you will enjoy.

East-Gate Selfcatering

East-Gate was built new in 2018 the property is located in central Shetland and beautifully finished. Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Spectacular Shetland Waterside Location

Located at the very heart of Shetland, with spectactular views & abundant nature, Orwick Lodge is a great base for exploring the Shetland Islands. Minutes from quiet rural beaches, the famous Hams o Roe, trying to spot an otter passing the window or waking up to Shalders on the patio, in 2018 Shetland had 2 pods of Orcas circumnavigating the islands. At evening you can enjoy the award winning Frankies fish & chips, enjoy complimentary mussels from our farm, or seek out Shetland music.

Traditional crofter's cottage in peaceful Unst

A traditional Shetland Crofter's cottage in Baliasta, Unst, Shetland. Close by to the Loch of Cliff, near to the local shops and leisure centre. We absolutely love our little spot and enjoy opening it up to our many well-travelled guests. The cottage is very cosy, has a wood burning stove, and a good-sized garden. Please be aware though, that it is a very old house and as such has some rustic quirks. While we are happy to accommodate children please be aware all beds are doubles.

Kleine Haustiere sind willkommen, solange sie stubenrein sind und du hinterher aufräumst.

The Peerie Neuk is a sustainably built tiny eco home with all the comforts of a cosy house just a bit tinier! There is a double bed and fold out sofa, suitable for one adult or two children. There’s is a small kitchen with hob, kettle and little fridge (large enough for two bottles of prosecco 🤣). There is a wood burning stove with oven. The oven will keep things warm. There’s on demand hot water, shower and compost toilet.
