Cozy Cottage Close to Kootenay Lake

The cottage is located in a rural area outside of Nelson close to Kootenay Lake; accessible primarily by car but also by bus that goes between Balfour and Nelson. From the cottage it's 35 minutes to ski resort and 20 minutes to hot springs; 10 minutes to ferry landing, golfing, general store, fishing supplies, bakeries, gas station; in the other direction, 5 minutes to Kokanee Creek Park boat launch and beach, store and connecting road to old growth forests, trails, private beach and zipline.

A Peaceful and Private Studio Suite

A beautiful suite nestled in nature. It is located just outside of Balfour with access to the ferry landing, balfour store, a gas station and a bakery. Ainsworth Hotsprings is a short 15 min drive, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is 10 minutes away and Balfour Golf Course is even closer! Nelson and all its amenities is about a 25 minute jaunt. 4 wheel drive is recommended during winter weather as the last little stretch is a little steeper. Winter weather can be unpredictable.

Relax in your suite with your own private 170 feet of beach on Kootenay Lake near Ainsworth Hot Springs and historic, eclectic City of Nelson. Three minutes from Kokanee Provincial Park and 10 minutes from the Balfour Ferry. Nelson is a twenty minute scenic drive along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake. Kokanee Zipline is a short 5 minute drive and we are on the doorstep of many famous mountain bike trails in Kokanee Glacier Park.
