Situated on a working farm in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Burnside Lodge is a well equipped, comfortable and cosy log cabin built in the traditional Norwegian style with a turf roof, a log burning stove and an expansive deck. The lodge has a view of Ben Vrackie and overlooks a burn running through the garden to the River Garry. It is ideally placed for retreat and relaxation or active exploration of Scotland, and is in “Big Tree Country” on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park.

Dam View - Ivy Lodge

We are situated on our small 100 acre family farm looking out over a nature reserve with miles of walking, bike riding and bird watching straight from your lodge. The lodges are all kitted out for your arrival with fresh beds, towels and toiletries. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay with us. There is a wonderful wood burning stove, that heats the whole tent on those chillier days and evenings. With a BBQ and fire pit outside for toasting those marshmallows.

The cottage is over 200 years old and has been converted from an original stable used by the horses working on the Crinan Canal. It is in pristine condition having recently undergone extensive renovation. It is a perfect location for all outdoor activities and a perfect base for exploring this beautiful region of Scotland. Log Cabin in Strathyre available on a weekly basis. 4 Berth A-Frame Swiss Style Log Cabin in the National Park (1 double and second bedroom with 2 singles). Wood Burning Stove. Full fire and CO alarms. Charming Village with Post Office, shop and Pub all within 3 minutes walk. Wonderful forest walks and fishing river literally 10 yards from the Cabin. One dog welcome, smokers not. Fast Fibre WiFi but poor mobile connections within the cabin however OK in the village.
