Built in the Summer of 1929, Stony Clove Cottage is nestled in the woods on a beautiful mountain stream, the Stony Clove Creek. It is a magical place suited for folks ready to turn their phones off. In 2021, wifi was added to this once landline-locked retreat so guests can remotely work or study in the woods. Bluetooth speakers are outside, and a turntable, with albums ranging from Rodgers & Hammerstein to Laura Nyro to Ralph Stanley, is available inside. And a wall of movies. And books....

Why Kashmir on the lake? in 2004 the house was built by a local husband and wife who were dedicated to having their grandchildren enjoy this special place in the Catskills. The family decided to move south and listed the home to rent occasionally - especially for the music festival Mountain Jam in Hunter . The basement game room has a pool table, convertible ping pong top, foosball and lounge area with tv. Enjoy a Mountain View outside at our dining and lounge furniture. My 900 sq ft cabin was built in the 1960s by an artist and renovated with recycled & repurposed materials. (We are told it may also have been a witness protection house😮)

We are between two magical creeks. Our charming Cabin is minutes from the gorgeous Euphrates Falls and Diamond Notch Falls. The best hiking/Ski mountain trails will be right outside your door, just a 5 min drive, all the magic of the Catskill forrest is right at your fingertips!
