The house itself is spacious, a bit old-school, but warm and comfortably furnished, with original art works by famous Kenyan artists. The garden is a treasure trove of birds and trees and flowering plants.

Our cozy cottage is nestled in the Limuru Highlands, amongst the lush tea plantations and is a charming and peaceful retreat location for discerning guests. Ideal for couples or solo travelers looking to recharge and is also very private. Guests can hike amongst the tea, ride their bicycles and wander with their dogs at leisure. Horse riding is also available if you book in advance. We are located 1 hr from the international airport, 40 mins from Karen, 35 minutes from the UN.

The Malachite Treehouse - couples retreat near Nbi

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. This treehouse, suitable for 2 is built into the tree canopy and offers stunning views from the deck. Its situated a short walk from a 100 acre lake where you can fish or simply enjoy the feeling of reconnecting with nature. You can also boat across and tour the neighbouring coffee farm. If you want to take your loved one for a short break not too far from Nairobi, this is the perfect spot. This is not a party house!

We are located close to shopping malls, hospitals, schools & restaurants. Inside the cottage is an open plan lounge with wood burning stove, kitchen & dinning. The bedroom has a king-size bed & bay window with views over the forest. Attached to the cottage is a garden, perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

The house, which can sleep 8 people across 4 bedrooms, is fully staffed. Guests also have access to a living room (with roaring fire), TV room, large dining room and verandha with wonderful views. From there you can enjoy the private land on foot or horseback. Ideal for a quiet family weekend away - not a party house.
