Although not on the water, there is access to our private Taunton Bay shore, 3.5 miles away.

This playful cabin offers a unique spot to unwind and explore the Schoodic peninsula and Downeast Maine. Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Spend your days hiking the backyard trails (25 acres behind the house!), swimming or paddle boarding on the lake with a private dock (lake is a 2 minute walk down the driveway!), or traveling to near by coastal towns like Bar Harbor (Bucksport was voted #1 small coastal town in USA!). "Bear" cabin is one of four new cabins at Dickens Farms in Eastbrook Maine. Our cabins are spaced for privacy and each has its own fire pit, bbq grill and picnic area. You can enjoy water access to Abrams Pond for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Two kayaks are provided per cabin for your enjoyment. Sit in the screened in porch and listen to nature or head into Acadia National Park to explore. Bike along the private road. Relax with your family for a quick getaway or week long adventure.

Hemlock Cabin.

Nestled in beautiful Hemlock grove is this cozy cabin. Its equiped with all the necessities of home to make your stay comfortable. Guests will have private access to Scammons Pond, also known as, R. Lyle Frost Managment Area. Its a fun place to kayak and fish. From the cabin its about a 45 minute drive to Acadia National Park or Schoodic Point. Besides Acadia, there is local hiking, nearby shopping, local restaurants, the Sunrise Trail, and other Maine adventure just waiting to be explored.

Lavender by the Sea

The Cottage rests over the end of Penobscot River as it opens into the Bay. The Cottage will comfortably accommodate two. The Cottage has a spacious bedroom, full kitchen, dining area, den and an all season porch with rockers. From Cottage there are views of the water and the lavender gardens. The gardens are terraced with a path down to the sea. The Carriage House Suite is available for an additional fee. it has has two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. It can easily sleep four.
