This summer home is located at the head of Herring Cove; there is 48m of waterfront. Have fun exploring, roaming the rocks or kayaking the Cove of this private shore. We have a kayak for your pleasure. Enjoy the spectacular view from the hot tub or the spacious deck. Herring Cove has much to offer with its hiking, sight seeing, simply sitting at the dock, or visiting our popular Pavia Cafe. It is a 15 minute drive to Downtown. This is a great spot for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

There are many walking trails on the property for you to explore nature! This adorable completely re-modeled cottage is steps away from the beautiful, sandy, salt water beach known as Coolen's Beach in Shad Bay, Nova Scotia. Twenty minutes from Halifax with hiking, kayaking, golf courses and restaurants all close by and scenic Peggy's Cove a short 20 minute drive away. We have created a charming and super comfortable retreat. We are sure our guests will enjoy the relaxing, peaceful vibe that this hidden little gem offers.

Lakefront Retreat

Surrounded by nature, this peaceful lakefront home just outside the city. Enjoy water recreation, sit by the campfire, or savour some relaxation in the hot tub. ( unfortunately closed this season from November-April) A paddle boat and kayaks are available for use. BYOB ( bring your our boat) Dock on property, boat launch access at nearby community centre. 1500 sq ft cozy home can comfortably sleep 10 people.

We have covered outside dining, where many meals and games have been played rain or shine.
