This 90 year old cabin is rich in history with its rustic exterior and has been finished out with a modern design inspired by wildflowers on the interior. The cabin is just south of Grand Lake, It is extremely easy to access via car, has a great view of Rocky Mountain National park, and boasts all of the modern amenities to make you feel comfortable during your stay. Adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness. Moose, elk, deer, pronghorn, bear, wolf, fox, and many bird species call this special place home. Cabin is an off-grid, dry cabin. Private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe. 4WD or AWD preferred travel in winter. The heat is furnished by a wood stove. Solar powered lights. The composting bathroom is 20 feet away and the shower house a short walk. Water is supplied. Blackstone grill and French press provided.

We're just minutes from the historic downtown Grand Lake, the East entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, hunting, fishing, world-class snowmobiling, sailing, SO MANY MOOSE, and much more. We renovated the cabin to bring all the comforts of home to our "home away from home" in the mountains. Our family has made many memories here, and we're hopeful you'll be able to do the same.

What we lost from the seclusion of trees, we gained in 360 degree views of Kawuneeche Valley & Rocky Mountain National Park. Nature has rebounded quickly & you will see abundant wildlife grazing the meadow, with moose and elk visiting daily. You can snowmobile/ATV from cabin to trails in less than 10 min. 4WD/AWD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in Winter.
