Dieses schöne, rustikale, einstöckige, traditionelle Ferienhaus aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, das aus lokalem rosa Sandstein gebaut wurde, wurde 1986 von meinem Vater gekauft. Ich gehe seit meinem siebten Lebensjahr dorthin. Es befindet sich in einer abgelegenen, ruhigen Lage mit schönem Blick auf die Lowther Hills und eine Burgruine und einen See, die nur 10 Gehminuten entfernt liegen. Eine großartige Gegend zum Wandern, Radfahren, Angeln, zur Vogelbeobachtung usw. Sie verfügt über ein separates Büro mit Blick auf die Hügel, einen Fahrradkeller, ein offenes Feuer und eine kürzlich renovierte Küche und ein Badezimmer.

Das Steading Cottage

Das Steading Cottage in Holmhill war einst der Stall und die Stallknechte des eleganten georgianischen Haupthauses, das vom Drumlanrig Castle Estate erbaut wurde. Es bietet einen gemütlichen und wunderschön eingerichteten Rückzugsort auf dem Land mit atemberaubendem Blick auf das wunderschöne Nith Valley und die umliegenden Ackerflächen, die für ihre Spaziergänge, Wildtiere und das Angeln bekannt sind. Mehrere französische Türen bieten Zugang zur Terrasse und zum Garten. Das Ferienhaus verfügt über einen barrierefreien Zugang. It is nestled just off the dead-end road that goes up the glen.
