Experience the joy of staying in an off grid solar powered house. This modern light filled 2 bedroom house with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres. Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, olive grove, orchard, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck and the garden beyond or the stars above. Enjoy the hot water outdoor shower under the sun or stars. (yes, we do also have an indoor shower) Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos and the occasional echidna through the floor to ceiling picture window. There is also a resident family of hares. A short drive to Morgans Beach at Cape Jervis, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches. Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga and Parsons Beaches along Range Rd to Victor Harbor. Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree in the carpark growing near the carpark. Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays. We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.

Luxuriously appointed, it is the perfect space for couples to relax between exploring all the Adelaide Hills and surrounds has to offer.

Deep Creek Tiny House with Stunning Views

Welcome to a hidden gem discreetly and privately located on the edge of the wilderness of Deep Creek National Park. Enjoy the serenity and stunning views across the water to Kangaroo Island from your own scenic deck, whilst living large in a beautifully designed and built tiny house. Deep Creek Tiny House is located on the traditional land of the Kaurna/Ngarrindjeri people, adjacent to the stunning Deep Creek National Park, on the southern-most tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Duckcottage: quaint stone cottage

Duckcottage is a five room stone settlers cottage built in 1853 on five acres of bushland at Second Valley. The property is now a refuge for wildlife so it is NOT suitable for dogs or cats. We call it 'duck' cottage because of the height of the doorways. It has been lovingly restored, and the habitat for birds and native animals has been established through revegetation. The property is secluded (there are no neighbours in sight) but it is a short drive to the beach.

A Room with a View@ Cape Jervis

This cute weekender is situated on the edge of a small fishing village, Cape Jervis (on the mainland) gateway to Kangaroo Island. Whether your heading to the island or leaving, this is perfect location to stop, unwind, revive before you continue your journey. Or you may want to trek a section of the Heysen Trail, or trek through Deep Creek National Park, or just do nothing and relax. NOTE: No wifi (try to disconnect) Mobile reception is great.

The Valley Shack

The Valley Shack is a modern revival of the iconic Australian beach shacks of the 60s and 70s. Just a short 5 minute stroll to the rugged beauty of Second Valley beach. Situated on the Heysen Trail, a 15 minute drive from the seaside resort town of Victor Harbor, our "bespoke" carbon neutral cottage offers a quiet retreat from daily cares and frenetic activity. A private afternoon deck; sunny morning courtyard; secluded water-garden nook; and forest walks with stunning views among the abundant wildlife, are yours to enjoy.

The Passage Kangaroo Island

The Passage is an off grid couples cabin with outdoor wood fired bath. Only 10 minutes from the ferry, the cabin is situated on a sheep farm and nestled into the rolling hills with panoramic ocean views. Your stay will be eco friendly, but you’ll still enjoy all the creature comforts whilst experiencing the island’s rugged natural beauty and native wildlife.
