The Little Red Bunkhouse is a private retreat located on a 50 acre working farm in rural De Leon, Texas. As our guest, you can relax and unwind on your private deck overlooking nature at it's finest! One of a kind loft! This unique apartment was built in 1920 with our Sears Craftsman home. It has been totally renovated and updated and just might be the cutest "steampunk themed tiny house with a sleeping loft" anywhere, much less Abilene. Just minutes from downtown, the SoDA District, The Mill, bars and nightlife, all three universities and Dyess AFB. Our Historic Sayles Loft is perfectly located for one night, a weekend, or more! It’s a tiny space, so two guests is the limit!

Our Cottage by The Lake is the perfect blend of eclectic, cozy, and functionality. There’s a 40’s style radio in the living room, equipped with Alexa and ready to play your favorite songs at your command. (We used to have dance parties and practice 2 stepping. The bedrooms share a mini split unit that keep you cool in summer and warm when it’s chilly. There’s a stand alone unit in the main area of the house. There are smart tv’s in the living room, the guest room, and the loft.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Sit on the back porch over looking the Jim Ned Creek while watching the sun come up with your cup of coffee. Enjoy all of the native Texas wildlife that surrounds the creek bottom, some of the best fishing in Brown county, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming and family time. Located not far from town but you get the enjoyment of the country.
