Fenced pet approved yard ($50 one time fee covers 2 pet max), with outdoor dining, BBQ grill and fire pit. A relaxing oasis after hiking and exploring the beauty and charm of Western NC.

The Understory: Private Retreat with Outdoor Tub

Welcome to The Understory. Nestled deep in the rhododendron covered woods, this romantic hand-crafted tiny home offers you a peaceful and memorable stay just 15 minutes from both Asheville and Black Mountain. Inside consists of 350 square feet of comfortable living space including a rain shower, king sized bed, cozy wood stove and a full kitchen. Surrounding the cabin is another 500 square feet of living space with a deck, outdoor soaking bathtub, and patio with a fire pit and propane grill.

This cabin was constructed by hand in 2019 and is designed with both style and calm in mind. It is a perfect place for artists and writers to find inspiration or for guests who want to connect to nature by simply waking up with the trees. The cabin partly functions as an informal artist residency space for our friends and comrades and guest who stay will find it more as a home environment instead of a hotel. Come expecting simplicity and refreshing stay in the wooded landscape of WNC.

The 2BR apartment has a modern style with tall ceilings, super comfortable mattresses, and a fully outfitted kitchenette, with a private 2nd floor entrance. Enjoy gorgeous mountain views and the babbling stream! Close to Weaverville (5 min) and downtown Asheville (less than 15 min). All the privacy you want, yet convenient to amenities. Family friendly. Scout’s Den Cottage, very close to Black Mountain.

Welcome to Scout's Den! A cozy retreat walkable to all of Black Mountain's amazing restaurants and shopping. This adorable garden studio is separate from the main house and has a carport with space for one vehicle. This is truly an escape! With no internet we encourage our guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and our small town charm. We do have a TV with a Super Nintendo and DVD player if you feel like staying in. We live on the property full time with our family.

Welcome to this basement suite that has everything you need for a care-free vacation. Over 500 square feet with private bath (jacuzzi tub),with rain shower, walk-in closet, kitchenette, table w/ 4 chairs, full L-shaped sofa, and a lot of amenities. You will be 8 minutes from the adorable city limits of Weaverville, 22 minutes to Asheville, and close to surrounding areas like Wolf Laurel, hot springs, and Marshall.
