There are limited cooking facilities but a 7 minute drive takes you to Green Island where you'll find Fresh Choice, McDonald's, Biggies pizza and other takeaway shops. Popular Brighton Beach and cafe is a 5 minute drive away, the CBD 20 minutes and Dunedin Airport is also a 20 minute drive.

There are many great walks with scenic views. It is a self-contained cottage with everything you need for cooking and washing.

The Millers Flat Tavern is open for meals Pinders Pond is a local swimming attraction. Highland Bike hire in Roxburgh has ebikes for hire.
