The cottage is very welcoming, with a long driveway. The area is well known to tourism thanks to Lake Superior’s natural beauty. There are many trails nearby for hiking and fishing. If you're up for adventure, take a day trip for world class cross-country ski and snowshoe trails at nearby Stokely Creek Lodge, or Alpine skiing at Searchmont Ski Resort, a 40 minute drive from the cottage. Puzzles, games and reading by the fire are just what you need to unwind! In the summer, enjoy the beach (pebble/rock beach) and lake for swimming, kayaking and canoeing.

North Shore Cottage on Lake Huron - pet friendly

Only 5 min off Hwy 17, on a dead end road with only nature and water sounds. Right on the waters of Lake Huron, this rustic but well-equipped cabin has everything you will need, with wifi access. Small living room with kitchen and first bedroom is at the front of the cottage, laundry and shower are in the next room, and a larger bedroom at the back boasts a screened-in porch and 1/2 bath. Please note there is a $50 fee per pet (maximum of 2 pets) when you stay at our cottage.

Enjoy wonderful views of the lake and mountains from the deck. Full access to private waterfront yard with a beachy area, fire pit and dock. Swimming, fishing and kayaking are a must. Bring life jackets for water play and worms for fishing. Many trails for ATVs out your back door.

No running water, Culligan H2O provided, new outhouse. This is one of 2 Airbnbs on our property. Each has its own private space. There is no fridge or electricity.

When we decided to buy a cottage, we wanted something that brought us closer to nature, but didn’t want a house on the water. It had to have some rustic elements to it. With its vaulted knotty pine ceilings and walls, and windows looking out at the lake, we instantly fell in love. It doesn’t matter if it’s high summer floating on the lake, or Fall with the beautiful colours, it’s just a special place to be.
